Imperfect god

Imperfect god, with feet of clay,
Your flaws and faults on display,
You stumble and you falter,
But still we look to you as alter.

Imperfect god, with heart of gold,
Your love and mercy never old,
You give and give, and never tire,
Your grace and kindness never expire.

Imperfect god, with wisdom deep,
You guide us through the darkest sleep,
You lift us up when we are low,
And help us grow and learn to flow.

Imperfect god, with strength and might,
You give us hope in darkest night,
You show us how to stand and fight,
And help us see the light. Inperfect god, with endless grace,
You fill our hearts with joy and peace,
You take us on a wondrous journey,
And help us find our way to glory.

An imperfect god, a being flawed
With powers great, yet weaknesses raw
Eternal in time, yet mortal in thought
His actions questioned, his judgment fought

His kingdom vast, yet struggles to reign
His followers lost, in doubt and disdain
His love pure, yet met with mistrust
His power immense, yet often unjust

An imperfect god, a paradox true
His divinity questioned, his will subdued
But in his imperfection, we see a light
That guides us through the darkest night

For in his flaws, we find a way
To forgive ourselves, and to live each day
With grace and hope, and a little bit of faith
In the imperfect god who guides our fate.
